Most mothers will have looked in awe at the pictures last week of Jennifer Lopez, 42, right, wearing a revealing crop top.
The star gave birth to twins just three years ago. Here’s a waist-shaper with the added benefit of also working your shoulders.
If you are familiar with yoga or Pilates, you will recognise the start position – the plank.
Maintain a strong posture but in a suspended position horizontal to the floor, balanced on your hands and toes. Line up your shoulders and wrists and keep your head lifted in line with the rest of your body.
Keep your hands on the floor with your fingers spread and jump both feet towards your right hand, landing so that your knees are just behind your right elbow. This will work your abdominal muscles.
Spring both feet back to the start position and hold for a moment. Now jump with both feet towards your left hand, then spring back to the start position. Focus on putting just as much effort into both sides.
Your deep core muscles will engage if you perform the plank position well. Focus on drawing in your navel towards your spine and maintain it throughout the exercise.
Repeat  ten times within 20 seconds. Take a break, then do four more sets.
