Tanya Zuckerbrot, MS, RD is the creator of the popular F-Factor Diet and the first Registered Dietitian with a national foodline. In 2010 she partnered with The Hain Celestial Group Inc. to create her F-Factor food line, now available in stores nationwide.
Tanya completed her master’s degree in nutrition and food studies at New York University, graduated with honors, and fulfilled her dietetic internship at NYU Langone Medical Center. Armed with her experience and credentials, Tanya wanted to apply nutrition intervention to the patient populations that she felt she could impact most. Tanya set out to establish relationships with cardiologists and endocrinologists, and built her private practice off of patient referrals.
Through diets tailored to each group’s clinical conditions, Tanya was able keep diabetic patients’ blood sugars under control and get cardiovascular patients’ cholesterol levels down. Not only did she succeed in improving their health, but an unexpected byproduct of the diet was that patients also lost weight. What was the common denominator between both of the diets? Fiber. It was then that Tanya realized that fiber allowed for weight loss without hunger.
This revelation led Tanya to create The F-Factor Diet, a common-sense plan that provides tools for easy and sustainable weight-loss. Due to the popularity and credibility of her practice, Tanya was approached to write The F-Factor Diet: Discover the Secret to Permanent Weight Loss (Putnam, 2006). The book debuted in hardcover in January 2007, and became an Amazon top-10 best-seller.
In 2010 Tanya was presented with the opportunity to team up with one of the largest natural foods company in the U.S., The Hain Celestial Group Inc., to create a F-Factor food line. She is thrilled to be able to offer the highest fiber products on the market to date. Through all of Tanya’s ventures one component has remained constant: She has always made sure her F-Factor dieters never felt they were on a diet, or that the program has inhibited their lifestyle. Her common-sense plan includes not only the healthy recipes and delicious foods, but also the ability to dine out at any restaurant, starting at day one.
Tanya is an accredited member of the American Dietetic Association and the Greater New York Dietetic Association. She is a member of Nutrition Entrepreneurs, Dietitians in Business and Communications, and Weight Management Dietetic Practice Groups. In 1997, she received the Julia Child Award for Healthy Cooking from New York University’s Department of Nutrition and Food Studies.
Tanya has appeared on The View, The Today Show, The Early Show, The Rachael Ray Show, MSNBC, ABC News, Good Morning America Health, CBS Evening News, The O’Reilly Factor, Extra, Good Day New York, and in many other local and national media platforms. Become a fan of Tanya on
