Princess Kate is undergoing hypnotherapy in order to overcome food aversion, ibtimes.co.uk reported.
Britain's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is due with her first child in July, spent time in the hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), or acute morning sickness, in December.

“Kate still looks at food and feels nauseous,” Kate’s friend, Jessica Hay, told Australia’s “New Idea” Magazine. “She’s been plagued with that feeling you have when you’ve had food poisoning, and your stomach’s shrunk.”

HG is certainly uncomfortable for any mom-to-be – victims have severe nausea and vomiting, which can lead to dehydration. Patients are usually hospitalized so they can be fed intravenously.

Doctors have ordered Princess Kate to “rest as much as possible,” following her release from King Edward VII hospital.

Hay told the magazine that Kate’s diet includes snacks such like avocados, berries, oatmeal and broccoli.

"She finds it very hard to eat a full meal and gets full very quickly,” Hay said. “The hypnotherapy is taking away any negative thoughts connected with food from the morning sickness, and replacing them with cravings for healthy, nutritious food."

Reports indicate that Kate has also started Pilates sessions three times a week.
