'The ultimate strong African American woman': Michelle Obama tweets her praise for Beyonce

Beyonce publicly declared her admiration and pride for Michelle Obama this week by writing her an open letter and thankfully it seems the feelings are reciprocated.
The First Lady has positively responded to the singer’s gushing letter, in which she declared Mrs Obama to be 'the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American woman.'
'Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to,' Obama tweeted on Friday.

The pop-star, 30, posted the handwritten missive on her new website earlier in the week where she wrote that she was 'proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.'

And Beyonce sang her praises for Mrs Obama as a caring mother and a loving wife while at the same time being First Lady.
'She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways,' the letter read.

The singer, who gave birth to her first child, Blue Ivy Carter, three months ago, signed off the letter ‘Love, Beyonce.’
Obama kept it more formal signing off ‘-mo’, an indicator that the tweet was sent from her personally.
The open letter follows Beyonce's support at a fundraiser Mrs Obama hosted with Robert De Niro last month at New York's Greenwich Hotel.
She and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, have been prominent supporters of the Obamas since his 2008 presidential campaign.
