Bringing new meaning to the concept of being underdressed, a fashion firm has launched a range of leggings that emulate muscles with the skin torn off.
The white trousers, designed by Australian label Black Milk Clothing, are printed with the anatomically correct layout of the bare human muscle, with sinews, ligaments and muscle fibres printed in blood red.
It's fair to say, the gory garments will not appeal to everyone - unless they're looking for a fancy dress outfit, of course.
Autopsy chic: The £50 muscle leggings have gone on sale at Australian website Black Milk Clothing
Those who enjoy pushing sartorial boundaries will no doubt enjoy the shock value the £50 leggings will inevitably provide.
Potential customers might include performers like Lady Gaga, who infamously wore a dress made entirely of raw meat back in 2010, or singer Jessie J, who has made graphic printed leggings her staple.
The label - which specialises in unusual leggings and also sells pairs printed with jellyfish and skeleton bones - could also find an unlikely fan in model Heidi Klum, who had an uncannily similar full body muscle suit made for her last Halloween fancy dress party.
'This is an idea that we have been thinking about for a while,' said Australian designer James Lillis of his uncanny creation.
'A few people encouraged me to do it but I never quite got around to it. Then I got a spare afternoon one day and decoded to have a good go at making it work. It worked…. perhaps a little too well!
'It's definitely our most 'meaty' design.'
